CNC lathe is one of the widely used CNC machine tools. It is mainly used for cutting the internal and external cylindrical surfaces of shaft parts or disk parts, internal and external conical surfaces with arbitrary cone angle, complex rotating internal and external curved surfaces, cylinders and conical threads, and can carry out grooving, drilling, reaming, reaming and boring.
NC machine tool automatically processes the machined parts according to the pre programmed machining program. We compile the machining process route, process parameters, tool trajectory, displacement, cutting parameters and auxiliary functions of the parts into a machining program sheet according to the instruction code and program format specified by the NC machine tool, record the contents of the program sheet on the control medium, and then input it into the NC device of the NC machine tool, so as to command the machine tool to process parts.
Numerical control technology is also called computer numerical control technology. It uses computer to realize digital program control. This technology uses the computer to execute the movement track of the equipment and the operation sequence logic control function of the peripherals according to the pre stored control program. CNC machine tool is the abbreviation of digital control machine tool. It is an automatic machine tool equipped with program control system. The control system can logically process the program with control code or other symbolic instructions and decode it, so as to make the machine tool operate and process parts.
Compared with ordinary machine tools, CNC machine tools have the following characteristics:

● it can carry out multi coordinate linkage and process parts with complex shapes;
● when processing parts are changed, generally only the NC program needs to be changed, which can save production preparation time;

● higher quality requirements for operators and higher technical requirements for maintenance personnel.
