Globe valve, also called cut-off valve, is one of the more common valves. The globe valve is a kind of actuator, which is generally divided into manual and electric. Manual type: open and close by handle or lever; electric gate can be divided into manual type and pilot type.
There are two structural forms of the globe valve: one is a straight-through type, and the other is a straight-through type. 1. The stem axis of the straight-through globe valve forms a certain angle with the centerline of the valve body, that is, the opening is small. 2. The stem of the straight-through globe valve cannot be moved up and down, but only rotated.
The globe valve is a cut-off control valve, it can be connected with only one pipe, and the flow characteristics of the globe valve are the same in any direction, it only needs to rotate 90° to control the direction, so it is widely used . The main function of the stop valve is to cut off or change the flow direction of the medium. According to the material can be divided into: cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, carbon steel. According to the structure, it can be divided into: lifting globe valve, lifting ball valve, and rotating 90° globe valve.
The globe valve is a forced sealing valve. Its sealing surface is generally made of surfacing stainless steel, but its outer diameter is large (up to 400~600 mm), so the end surface of the valve stem is also high. According to the opening direction, the globe valve can be divided into four types: gate type, straight rod type, plunger type and lever type. The globe valve is mainly used to cut off the medium in the pipeline, and can also be used to adjust the flow rate.
Structural features :
The globe valve adopts an upper guide structure, the valve stem drives the valve disc to move along the fluid direction, and the sealing is completed by the sealing effect of the valve core when closing, so it has excellent vibration damping performance. The opening and closing part of the globe valve is a ball with a cone or star thread, and the balls are connected by slides.
